Two deaths, 150 cases in Kashmir

JAMMU/SRINAGAR/ LEH, Nov 14: In fresh surge in COVID casualties, four persons succumbed to the virus –two in Leh district of Ladakh and two in Kashmir division of J&K today. As many as 174 fresh cases were reported in J&K and 13 in Ladakh.
A 79-year-old woman hailing from Phayang, who was co-morbid and a Nepali labourer died of Coronavirus in Leh district today taking Corona toll in the UT of Ladakh to 211—153 in Leh and 58 in Kargil.
Thirteen fresh COVID positive cases were reported in Ladakh including 12 in Leh district and one in Kargil.
Ladakh now has 154 active positive cases—149 in Leh and five in Kargil.
Meanwhile, out of 174 active positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir, 24 were recorded in Jammu region.
Nine cases were registered in Jammu district, eight in Reasi (five of whom were travelers who tested positive on their arrival at Katra Railway Station), four in Rajouri and one each in Doda, Kishtwar and Poonch districts.
Udhampur, Kathua, Samba and Ramban districts didn’t report any positive cases today.
As against 24 new cases. 11 persons recovered from the virus leaving number of active positive cases in Jammu region to 215.
Jammu region’s Corona count has gone up to 1,24,610. Among them, 1,22,217 have recovered from the virus while there have been 2178 casualties.
Meanwhile, Kashmir today reported 150 fresh cases of COVID-19.
There were two deaths in Kashmir due to the virus today. So far 4450 persons including 2272 in Kashmir have died due to the pathogen.
Srinagar reported 68 cases, Baramulla 29, Budgam 9, Kupwara 21, Anantnag 5, Bandipora 6, Ganderbal 9 and Kulgam 1.
Moreover, 107 Covid-19 patients recovered today including 96 from Kashmir.
So far 328215 patients have recovered, leaving active case tally at 1515 including 1300 in Kashmir.
Out of 334180 cases, 1515 are active including 1300 in Kashmir.
