SAMBA, May 18: A 32-year-old woman was allegedly murdered in broad daylight in Bari Brahmana area of Samba district today, officials said.

Identified as Anuradha, wife of Ajay Singh and a resident of Krishna Nagar, Channi Kartholi, the woman was found dead with her throat slit inside her house in Ward No. 7, they said.
Soon after getting the information, officials said a team of police arrived at the crime scene and collected evidence besides shifting the body to Government Medical College Jammu for conducting the post-mortem.
Quoting preliminary investigation, officials said the murder might have stemmed from a family dispute.
As such, a case FIR No 128/2026 under sections 103 BNS has been registered at Police Station Bari Brahmana and further investigation taken up, they said.
No arrest had been made by the police till the press time.
