JAMMU, Sept 19: A woman today gave birth to a male baby at waiting hall of Railway Station, Jammu.
According to a police spokesperson, Mobida Khatoon, wife of Hyder Ali, resident of Basantbag, Srinagar, today gave birth to a male baby in the waiting hall of Railway Station, Jammu.
“On getting information, SSP Railways, Jammu, Shiv Kumar Sharma along with Rajinder Singh Tara, Special Secretary, Relief Receipt Camp, Railway Station, Jammu, Chanderjeet Singh, SDPO, GRP Jammu, Inspector, Neeraj Choudhary, SHO, Police Station, GRP Jammu, visited the spot, arranged an ambulance and immediately shifted the lady and the new born to Government Hospital, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu”, he said.
Meanwhile, DC Jammu, AK Sahu also visited the spot, met with the family and assured them all kind of assistance from administration, the spokesperson said.
Both lady and the new born baby were out of danger and doing well in the Hospital, he added.
