JAMMU, Sept 19: A Joint meeting of Soan Kashmir Front and Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) was held here today under the chairmanship of Shadi Lal Pandita in which various issues facing the inmates of the township were discussed.
The meeting demanded that a new water storage tank be constructed at Jagti township as the water storage tank at river Tawi is often being damaged by floods during heavy rains. It demanded that the nullah flowing through Jagti be given protection bund.
The meeting was also attended by P L Thussu and S N Gurtoo chairmen of the Committee. It decided that a Maha Yagya on the occasion of Navratras will be performed on Maha Navmi falling on October 3. The yagya will start on October 2.
