JAMMU, Sept 19: A young girl today made an abortive attempt on her life by consuming some poisonous substance at her home in Gajansoo area falling under Kanachak Police Station, a police spokesman said.
He said the girl has been identified as Sonia Sharma (26), daughter of Kuldeep Sharma and resident of Gajansoo. The family members immediately rushed her to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where her condition is stated to be stable, he added.
However, it was not known why she took this extreme step.
The concerned Police has taken cognizance of the matter and started investigations.
