JAMMU, Sept 8: The dead body of a woman was found today in mysterious circumstances at Bashir Gujjar Basti in city outskirts.
“The deceased has been identified as Nasreen Ramzan (35) wife of Mohd Ramzan, resident of village Tarzoo, tehsil Sopore, district Baramulla”, a police official said, adding she was presently living in Bashir Gujjar Basti in Belicharana area of Jammu.
He said that body of the woman was shifted to mortuary room of Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu while her family members in Baramulla were informed. He said the reasons of her death are not clear yet and only postmortem report can help in ascertaining the cause of death.
“However, inquest proceedings under 174 CrPC have been initiated at concerned police station”, he further added.
