112 new cases in Kashmir, 14 in Ladakh

JAMMU/SRINAGAR/LEH, July 21: A woman died of COVID-19 and 32 persons tested positive in the Jammu region while 112 new cases were reported in Kashmir and 14 in Ladakh today.
An 80-year-old woman hailing from village Saaj in Rajouri district died of COVID-19 in the Government Medical College (GMC) Rajouri today.
Out of 32 Corona positive cases in Jammu region, seven each were recorded in Jammu and Rajouri districts, six in Kishtwar, four each Doda and Poonch, two Kathua and one each in Udhampur and Samba districts. No fresh cases were registered in Ramban and Reasi districts.
Seventy eight persons today recovered from the virus including 25 in Jammu, 18 Doda, 13 Ramban, six each Rajouri and Kishtwar, four Reasi and three each in Udhampur and Kathua districts.
Jammu region now has 1,21,352 Corona cases. Among them, 644 are active positives while 1,18,570 have recovered from the virus and there have been 2138 casualties.
Highest 1139 COVID fatalities have been reported in Jammu district followed by 225 in Rajouri, 150 Kathua, 135 Udhampur, 124 Doda, 119 Samba, 94 Poonch, 66 Ramban and 43 each in Kishtwar and Reasi districts.
The Union Territory of Ladakh today reported 14 new Corona positives cases including 12 in Leh and two in Kargil.
New cases have taken Corona count in Ladakh to 20278. However, there are only 94 active positive cases as 19978 persons have recovered from the virus and there have been 206 casualties. Leh district has reported 148 deaths and Kargil accounted for 58.
Meanwhile, Kashmir today reported 112 cases of COVID-19.
Those who tested positive include 65 from Srinagar, Baramulla 8, Budgam 7, Kupwara 9, Anantnag 10, Bandipora 5 and Ganderbal 8.
With fresh cases Srinagar has now 71058 positive cases with 390 Active Positive, 69836 recovered, 832 deaths; Baramulla has 23508 positive cases with 100 active, 23127 recovered, 281 deaths; Budgam reported 22821 positive cases with 81 active cases, 22536 recovered, 204 deaths; Pulwama has 15114 positive cases with 80 active, 14840 recovered and 194 deaths; Kupwara has 14024 positive cases, 54 active, 13805 recoveries, 165 deaths; Anantnag district has 16300 positive cases with 85 active, 16010 recovered, 205 deaths; Bandipora has 9450 positive cases, with 65 active, 9285 recoveries, 100 deaths; Ganderbal has 9836 positive cases with 67 active, 9691 recoveries and 78 deaths; Kulgam has 11217 positive cases with 29 active, 11071 recoveries and 117 deaths while as Shopian has 5576 positive cases with 07 positive cases, 5511 recoveries and 58 deaths.
Moreover, 175 more COVID-19 patients have recovered including 97 from Kashmir. With this, 314282 people have recovered so far including 195712 in Kashmir. The active cases are down to 1602 including 958 in Kashmir.
