JAMMU, Feb 2: A woman was today crushed to death by a speedily driven bus in Gadigarh area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, the woman identified as Manjit Kour, wife of Jagdev Singh of Lower Gadigarh died on the spot when a scooty on which she was travelling with her husband, was hit by a bus bearing registration number JK02J-7185 at Lower Gadigarh area of Satwari area, late this morning.
He said that the speedily driven bus hit the two-wheeler, resulting into on the spot death of the woman rider. “The bus driver has been arrested,” he said, adding, a case has been registered at police station Satwari while the body of the deceased was handed over to her legal heirs for last rites after conducting post mortem at Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu.
