DODA, Feb 12: A widow allegedly committed suicide by jumping into river Chenab from Prem Nagar bridge in district Doda.
As per police sources, a 50-year-old widow identified as Babita Devi, wife of late Omi Chand, a resident of Jatheli, tehsil Thathri allegedly committed suicide by jumping into river Chenab from Prem Nagar bridge this afternoon.
On getting information, police rushed to the spot and divers were pressed into trace the woman. The body was not fished out when reports last were compiled.
A case in this regard has been registered at Prem Nagar police post and investigation started.
