Why no wages paid to Anganwari workers?

When Anganwari workers and helpers of Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) Budhal and Kandi projects are without wages for months together , what precisely could be the reasons and how would these workers be sustaining their families , perhaps is no one’s concern. Not only that , some of them are not paid for most of the months of the years 2017-18 and 2019 too. How can, in the absence of payment of the monthly wages to these workers, combating of child hunger and malnutrition be ensured, is the moot question and such an attitude of the district authorities was defeating the very purpose of the scheme.
Why should they be compelled to move from pillar to post only for releasing of their long due remuneration when they have been extending all cooperation in conducting surveys and allied activities even during the current corona-virus pandemic. The apathy of the administration is such that while moving in villages for awareness purposes , they are provided neither any protective kits nor any masks . District ICDS authorities advise them to contact Sarpanchs for collecting wages who refuse and refer them back to some other departments only shows utter chaos and disarray in the administration. A detailed comprehensive ‘survey’ is needed to be made to see how many more in other districts were facing the same problem and what actually was the root cause of the problem.
