Welfare of every section of society BJP’s agenda: Kavinder

JAMMU, June 4: Many delegations from different areas of Gandhi Nagar constituency, called on former Deputy Chief Minister and senior BJP leader, Kavinder Gupta at his residence here, today.
One delegation led by Balwinder Singh discussed problems of frequent power cuts, water supply problem in addition to left out roads and lanes & drains which need urgent upgradation, in Trikuta Nagar, Nanak Nagar, Sanjay Nagar, Marble Market and Greater Kailash.
The members of the delegation also discussed the drainage problem in Nanak Nagar which needs upgradation before the rainy season. The delegation also requested former Deputy Chief Minister regarding the old age pension and widow pension cases pending in the Social Welfare Department for years, to take up the matter with the Governor for provision of funds to the Department for early dispersal of pension to the beneficiaries account.
The delegation also requested to take up the matter of UJALA Yojna under which the LED bulbs were distributed and now the distributing centres cease to exist in Jammu.
Gupta, while interacting with the delegation said that he had already discussed the matter with the concerned authorities for the early redressal of the problems being faced by the people within the shortest possible time. He said for many roads the proposal has been sent and the administrative approval is pending.
Regarding the UJALA Yojna and pending pension cases, Gupta assured that he will take up the issue with Governor’s administration.
Gupta said that the Modi Government at Centre is committed for undertaking equitable development of all the three regions of the State so that it comes up as one of the model states of the country. He said Jammu city has been included in the list of “smart cities” by the Centre Government. Lot of works will be executed for the development of the city, so that no one is deprived of the basic amenities.
He said BJP is party of all and works for every section of society. Equitable development of all three divisions of Jammu and Kashmir is party’s agenda, he added.
The members of the delegations complimented Gupta for the quality works done in the last three years in Gandhi Nagar. Prominent among those who met Gupta where H.S. Raina, Capt. (retd) Rajinder Singh, Pritam Singh, Ashok Sharma and Rohit Mahajan.
