KATHUA, Jan 15: The inhabitants of the Ward 16, Shiv Nagar and Ward 15 Patel Nagar Kathua are facing acute scarcity of drinking water for last fortnight now.
The residents who protested against the authorities alleged that the water supply pipes to the area were dug out by the contractor who has undertaken the construction work of drains.
They said that the work was undertaken without application of mind and making alternative arrangements for water supply.
The residents warned to block road and launch agitation in case immediate steps were not taken to solve the problem.
