Veeri chairs 91st BoD meeting of JKPCC

SRINAGAR, June 28: Minister for Public Works and Parliamentary Affairs, Abdul Rehman Veeri today chaired the 91st Meeting of the Board of Directors of Jammu and Kashmir Projects Construction Corporation Ltd (JKPCC Ltd).
The Minister who is also the chairman of JKPCC Ltd, while addressing the meeting said that there is a need to swiftly change the perception about the corporation by engaging in quality asset building, besides timely completion of projects.
Minister of State Public Works, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Sunil Kumar who is the vice-chairman of JKPCC also attended the meeting.
Reviewing the action taken on decisions of 90th meeting of Board of Directors, the Minister directed JKPCC to strictly adhere to all codal formalities like e-tendering of all types of works including procurement of steel. The Minister stressed for a transparent, efficient and decentralized procedure to be undertaken by the corporation for speedy completion of works.
The Board gave approval for processing of cases of compassionate appointments in the corporation under clause 14.1 of JKPCC Service Rules on the lines of SRO 43 of the Government in addition to introducing AADHAR linked biometric attendance for casual, daily wagers for facilitating their adjustments in the corporation through regularization.
The Board of Directors also gave approval to procurement of modern construction machinery by the corporation, winding up of procurement units at Jammu and Srinagar besides directing for a time bound audit of various units managed by the corporation.
The meeting was attended by all the directors of JKPCC – Financial Commissioner Planning and Development Department, B B Vyas, Commissioner/ Secretary Finance Department, N K Choudhary, Commissioner Secretary PW(R&B) Department, Rohit Kansal, Secretary Health and Medical Education, M K Bhandari, Secretary Higher Education, Hemant Kumar Sharma, Managing Director JKPCC Ltd Daleep Thusu, Chief Engineer R&B Kashmir, S K Razdan, Chief Engineer R&B Jammu, Alok Mengi.
