SAMBA, Mar 4: An unidentified pedestrian was killed after he was hit by unknown vehicle at New Bus Stand here, today.
According to report, the mishap occurred at Jammu -Pathankot National Highway at Main Chowk Samba this evening, when the unknown vehicle moving towards Kathua from Jammu, on reaching near New Bus Stand, Samba suddenly hit an unknown pedestrian and fled from spot.
The pedestrian received critical injuries and he was brought to District Hospital Samba for treatment where the doctors declared him as brought dead. The body of the deceased was kept in the mortuary room of District Hospital Samba for identification and postmortem.
The police has taken cognizance of the matter and started further investigation.
