JAMMU, May 31: The dead body of an unidentified man was recovered today from river Tawi in Belicharana area of city outskirts.
“Some locals spotted a dead body floating in River Tawi near fourth bridge this morning,” a police official said. He said on their information, a police team led by Incharge police post Belicharana, Inspector Pawan Singh reached the spot, fished out the body from the river and shifted it to mortuary room of Government Medical College, Jammu for identification/postmortem.
He said the body was partially decomposed and was wearing a white T-shirt and Khaki pant. The deceased appears to be of 30-35 years-old, he further said, adding, inquest proceeding under 174 CrPC was initiated in this connection by Belicharana police.
