JAMMU, May 31: A migrant labourer belonging to Orissa died today due to fall from a 3-storey building in Jammu City.
“Phakir Jeena (42) son of Chatia Jeena, suddenly fell off from the roof of a 3-storey building at Ustad Mohalla in Jammu, where he was living in a rented room,” a police official said, adding, the labourer died on the spot.
He said the mishap occurred today at about 4:30 PM when the labourer was having some food served in a plate on the roof top of the building.
“The body of the deceased has been shifted to GMC Jammu for postmortem while Pacca Danga police has taken cognizance of the matter,” the official added.
