JAMMU, Jan 12: A four-week long UGC General Orientation Course, being organized by Academic Staff College, University of Jammu in collaboration with Department of Economics, commenced here today.
Prof Deshbandhu Gupta, Director CDC, formally inaugurated the course in the presence of faculty and staff of the University while Prof Rajni Kant, Director ASC, underlined the importance and need for such courses.
Earlier, Prof Dipankar Sen Gupta, HoD Economics and the Course Incharge briefly highlighted the various areas of study that would be covered in the month long course. Ranjeet Kalra, Asstt Director, ASC, presented a formal vote of thanks on the occasion. Around 25 teachers from universities and colleges from both within and outside the State are participating in the month long course.
