Two youth nabbed with drugs, currency in Rajouri

JAMMU, Nov 16: The police arrested two youth along with brown sugar and some cash during special naka in the outskirts of Rajouri town last night.
Official sources said that a police party led by SHO Rajouri,  Insp Chaman Gorkha under the supervision of SP Rajouri Atul Sharma laid a naka near Kot Dhara  and intercepted two youth  at around 10.30 pm.  On seeing police the youth who were on bike tried to escape but they were chased and nabbed.
On their frisking, about 60 gms of brown sugar and Rs 43,000 cash was recovered from their possession. They were arrested and a case under FIR No. 721/ 2016 was registered against  them.  One of the accused is said to be local Youth Congress leader.
The drug peddlers arrested were identified as Tauseef Hussain Shah, son of Sageer Hussain Shah and Mohd Murtaza Hussain alias Sanam Shah, son of Naseer Hussain, residents of Dhanni Dhar. The  police said that both the accused persons  have been placed under sustained interrogation and  some more arrests are likely in a day or two.
