Two notorious criminals arrested with heroin, fake currency notes

JAMMU, Apr 8: Bahu Fort Police arrested two notorious criminals along with heroin and fake currency notes.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Police Station Bahu Fort Inspector Deepak Pathania and assisted by Incharge Police Post Bhatindi SI Shabir Kohli laid a naka at Peer Bagh and intercepted a Maruti car bearing registration number JK21A-7206.
During checking, police team recovered 8.5 grams heroin and 158 fake currency notes amounting Rs 47,800 from the possession of two persons travelling in the car and arrested them.
The arrested persons were identified as Mohammad Aslam alias Sonu, son of Rehmat Ali of Dangiali, Majheen, Sidhra District Jammu and Rashid Ali alias Zakir, son of Hussain Mohammad of Peer Bagh Colony, Sunjwan District Jammu.
On their disclosure during sustained questioning, one Laptop, one Printer, Magnetic Ink (4 bottles), printing papers (1 bundle) and one digital weighing machine were recovered.
It is pertinent to mention that both the accused are notorious criminals as Mohammad Aslam alias Sonu has half dozen FIRs under NDPS Act, attempt to murder, bovines smuggling and theft registered against him. Earlier, he was also booked under PSA. Rashid Ali alias Zakir was also arrested earlier with currency notes and a case under FIR Number 151/18 under Section 489-A, D RPC was registered at Police Station Bahu Fort against him.
A fresh case under FIR Number 115/2021 under Sections 8/21/22/25/29 NDPS Act, 489-A, 489-B and 489-C IPC has been registered against the arrested notorious criminals at Police Station Bahu Fort and investigation started.
The arrest and recovery was made under the supervision of SDPO City East Bikram Kumar.
