UDHAMPUR, Dec 2: Police today arrested two narcotic smugglers in Ramnagar and recovered a small quantity of contraband substance Heroin from their possession.
The accused, identified as Akash Kharkha, son of Yash Pal Kharkha of Ward number 06 in Ramnagar and Rakesh Singh, son of Yash Pal Singh of ward number 11 in Ramnagar, were travelling in vehicle (JK14F-3898), which was coming from Udhampur to Ramnagar.
The vehicle was intercepted by a Police party, led by SHO Ramnagar, Pushpinder Singh, under the supervision of SDPO Ramnagar, Dr Bhishm Dubey during naka at Kaugha.
Six grams of Heroin like substance was recovered from the possession of the accused persons, who were arrested on the spot.
In this connection, a case FIR number 201/2021, under section 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Ramnagar and further investigation is underway.
