Two hundred children, parents attend Scholarship Distribution Camp of HBET

JAMMU, Dec 4: Over 200 students and parents attended the scholarship distribution programme on the 4th day of the camp.
Harbans Bhalla Educational Trust (HBET) is distributing scholarships to 500 students in the 7 days camp.
The chief guest Chander Mohan Gupta Mayor JMC distributed the scholarships and impressed upon the children that they are getting an opportunity to achieve excellence in their education to carve out a bright future for themselves. He appreciated the efforts of HBET to promote education of girls, particularly those who live in the slums and in the rural areas. He also wished them a bright future ahead.
Managing Trustee said that the scholarships will be distributed to 500 students during the 7 days. 80 plus students will be coming daily for the programme.
“HBET has been awarding scholarships since 1997 and the number of children helped every year has grown from 12 initially to 500 children. HBET aims to cover as many rural children as possible in Jammu region areas such as Hiranagar, Chak, Chakrohi, Arnia, Rattian, Doomi, Gajansoo, RS Pura, Birpur, Rehian, Jourian, Dansal, Kangrail, Gurah Slathia,  Ghou Manhasan, Surinsar, etc”, Managing Trustee informed.
“Families of financially weak girl children from 1st to 3rd classes can apply to the Trust for scholarship. The Trust only accepts students studying in Government schools”, Managing Trustee informed.
