JAMMU, May 6: Two persons including a 22-year-old boy allegedly committed suicide by hanging themselves in the jurisdiction of police station Channi Himmat.
According to a police official, a young boy namely Yogesh (22) son of Hem Raj, resident of Extension-1, Channi Himmat, was found hanging today from a fan with the help of a scarf at his residence. “His family members shifted him in unconscious condition to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where he was declared as brought dead by the doctors,” he added.
The official informed that a man was also found hanging at his residence late last night. He said the man was identified as Varun Sharma (35) son of Vijay Kumar, resident of Marble Market near Florence Department, Extension Trikuta Nagar.
He said while postmortem of Varun’s body was conducted and body handed over to his legal heirs, the dead body of Yogesh is lying in mortuary of GMC Jammu and postmortem will be conducted tomorrow.
