REASI, May 6: A youth committed suicide by cutting his arm veins with a blade, here today at his residence in village Garhi, tehsil Thakrakot, under the jurisdiction of Arnas Police Station.
The deceased was identified as Jagdish Singh (25), son of Romesh Singh of Garhi, tehsil Thakrakot. He cut his arm veins with a shaving blade after which he was immediately shifted to PHC Arnas. After first aid, he was referred to DH Reasi where he died because of excess bleeding.
Cause of provocation behind the extreme step could not be ascertained while Police has registered a case in this regard for further investigation.
