JAMMU, July 8: Police today rescued two bovine animals and arrested two smugglers.
A police spokesman said that, on specific inputs, police party from Akhnoor police station laid a naka and intercepted a Tata mobile bearing registration number JK14B-2475.
During checking, police recovered two bovine animals and arrested two smugglers, who have been identified as Nawaz Sharif, son of Mohd Sharif and Mohd Aziz, son of Mohd Yousaf, both residents of district Rajouri, he added.
A case under FIR number 154/13 under Section 188 RPC and 3 PCA Act has been registered at Akhnoor Police Station and investigation started.
Police party led by SHO Mahesh Sharma made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Akhnoor Rayees Mohammad Bhat.
