JAMMU, Dec 13: Satwari Police thwarted a major crime incident by arresting two persons along with Chinese pistol and magazine.
As per police sources, during patrolling a team from Police Station Satwari led by Inspector Deepak Jasrotia and assisted by PSI Darshan Singh found a Baleno car bearing registration number JK02CE-5360 parked on roadside in darkness near Jammu Airport.
When inquired, the persons sitting in the vehicle started shouting and assaulted the police officials on duty, but were overpowered swiftly by police team.
During checking, police team recovered a Chinese pistol along with magazine from their possession which they had carried for committing some serious crime in the area. Police arrested both the persons, who were identified as Randeep Singh, son of Khushwant Singh and Lobjot Singh, son of Inderjeet Singh, both residents of Nanak Nagar, District Jammu.
A case FIR Number 282/2021 under Sections 353 and 34 IPC and 7/25 Arms Act has been registered at Police Station Satwari and investigation started.
The arrests and recovery was made under the supervision of SDPO South PK Mengi.
