SRINAGAR, Mar 15: The Tulip Garden in Srinagar where around 3 lakh Tulips are on bloom opened for public this afternoon without any fanfare and announcement.
The Director of the Floriculture, Talat Pervaiz, made a surprise visit to the Tulip Garden Srinagar this noon and asked the employees of Tulip Garden to open the gates for the visiting tourists and local people.
The employees working in the garden were surprised as this is for the first time that there was no fanfare at the opening of the garden to the public and even they were caught unawares.
The garden was ready for the opening four days ago as the bloom had started last week. Around 10 lakh tulips will be on bloom in the garden soon.
As the Tulip garden opened this afternoon without any publicity, over 1200 people visited the garden to watch the bloom.
