RAMBAN, May 5: Banihal Police arrested a trucker along with 49 kilograms of poppy straw.
As per police sources, a team from Police Station Banihal during checking at T-Chowk intercepted a truck bearing registration number HP33B-9790.
During checking, police team recovered 49 kilograms of poppy straw from the vehicle and arrested the driver, who was identified as Darminder Singh, son of Manjeet Singh of Nuvgjja District Jalandhar Punjab.
A case under FIR Number 85/2021 under Section 8/15 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Banihal and investigation started.
