SAMBA, Oct 21: A truck helper died due to electric shock at Mansar Morh area of Samba today.
According to police, the incident occurred at Mansar Morh area of Samba this morning, when the hundreds of trucks were stranded on road at Mansar Morh, the helper climbed on the roof of the truck and suddenly he came in the grip in 11 kv electric wire, as a result he received critical burn injuries.
The other truck drivers immediately rushed him to District Hospital Samba for treatment, but the doctors declared him as brought dead.
The body of the deceased was shifted to mortuary room of District Hospital Samba for autopsy. After autopsy the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites.
The deceased has been identified as Reyaaz, 20, son of Manaveer Mir resident of Banihal, district Ramban.
The police have taken cognizance of the matter and started investigation.
