JAMMU, June 19: Tributes were paid today to 20 soldiers martyred recently in Ladakh on India-China border by various political and social organizations across Jammu province.
BJP unit of Jammu West paid floral tributes to martyrs who lost their lives in Ladakh on Indo-China Border. The program was attended by former party president of J&K, Sat Sharma, JMC Mayor Chander Mohan Gupta, Prabhari Rekha Mahajan, BJP councilors, besides others. Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that though the loss is irreparable, but the supreme sacrifice made by our soldiers will not go in vain. He said that the time has come now that not only our soldier brothers but we must also contribute in this fight against China by boycotting Chinese products in the market.
In Samba district, BJP activists paid tributes to Ladakh martyrs by offering flowers and lighting candles in front of Bharat Mata. Speaking on the occasion, Ankush Mahajan said that the India should give a befitting reply to China and take revenge of martyrdom of our 20 soldiers. District president Amar Singh, Pawan Bakshi, Virendra Sambyal, Naresh Amba, Ankush Mahajan, Randhir Sharma, Mohinder Pal, Kuldeep Sharma, Saudagar Mal and Rahul Vaid were also present on the occasion.
In Bhaderwah and Bhalla, BJP besides paying homage to the martyred soldiers, held a strong protest. At Bhadarwah BJP workers gathered at historic Seri Bazaar and after paying homage to the Galwan Valley Martyrs of Indian Army, burnt effigy of Chinese President Xi Jinping. In Bhalla, a protest rally led by BJP district vice president Sanjay Saraf was taken out in the market. The BJP activists shouted slogans against China burnt effigy of Xi Jinping.
Yuva Rajput Sabha (YRS) organized a candle march from Sabha headquarter to Bantalab Chowk, Jammu under the supervision of Surinder Singh Gilli (president YRS), to pay tributes to Ladakh martyrs and pray for the peace to the departed souls.
