SRINAGAR, Nov 26: One person was run over by a train in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district today forcing people to protest against the Railway authorities.
The victim Muhammad Ramzan son of Abdul Salam resident of Galwanpora Safdan had left home in the morning and his mangled body was found on the railway track near Safdan Budgam.
Police after completing all the formalities handed over the body to his family.
Hundreds of people assembled near Safdan railway track in Budgam district and protested against Railway Authorities. Protestors alleged that no action is being taken against the Rail authorities after rail accidents.
The protests forced the Rail Authorities to suspended rail services in Central Kashmir for more than an hour. However, it was later restored.
