SAMBA, Nov 17: The continuous mismanagement by the Traffic Police and administration resulted in traffic chaos on busy Vijaypur -Ramgarh road again today for hours together which also affected the normal life.
The people have accused the administration and traffic Police of the prevailing traffic mess in the town especially on Vijaypur -Ramgarh road. They alleged despite repeated pleas to the administration it failed to look into the problem which has added to woes of the people.
They said the traffic jams in the area have been a routine affair as the administration never applied its mind to solve it.
The irate people and shopkeepers of the town alleged that despite discussing the problem threadbare during public-police meet last time, the authorities failed to solve the problem.
They said the Police authorities of the area gave full assurance to the people to sort out the problem and also sought their total cooperation especially from shopkeepers who dump their goods on the road side besides the irregular parking of vehicles on either side of the road.
However, till date the authorities have failed to take action. The people have demanded intervention of the Chief Minister in the matter and up gradation of Bye Pass road along Ravi Tawi canal so as to ensure hassle free functioning of the traffic on the road.
