RAJOURI, June 3: A delegation of traders from Rajouri town met DC Rajouri Vikas Kundal on Friday and submitted a memorandum of their pending demands to him and urged him to address their issues.
Under the chairmanship of Vyapar Mandal, president Rajesh Gupta, the delegation during meeting with DC told that due to lack of public parking in the town, people and customers coming from outside have to face problems. Therefore atleast two or three public parkings should be created in the town.
They further pointed out that people are facing acute shortage of drinking water in various wards of Rajouri city, so new water schemes must be started without any more delay so that people do not face the problem of drinking water.
Rajesh Gupta while demanding the establishment of a warehouse for the traders of Rajouri city, said that the traders of the city are facing difficulties due to lack of warehouse. In Sabzi Mandi more shops have been given to the people outside, due to which the people of Rajouri city and surrounding areas have got very few shops, due to which they are also facing a lot of problems.
The traders appealed to the DC that shops in the vegetable market should be distributed to the native people so that they can get its benefit. A request was made to start the work of Rajouri Mini Secretariat, which has been stopped for the last several years and it was said that this will bring all the offices under one roof and people will get rid of the problems.
They said the old hospital located in Gujjarmandi area of the city was converted into mother-child hospital but the mother-child hospital has not been shifted yet. The president asked DC that mother child hospital should be started in the old hospital building soon.
The DC gave a patient hearing to their demands and assured an early reddressal.
