Three injured in clash between two groups

JAMMU, June 6: Three women of a family were injured today after they were attacked by some people over land dispute in Akhnoor area on city outskirts.
According to a police official, two groups clashed with each other this afternoon at Chak Morh in Akhnoor area over some land dispute. He said in the clash, three women of one side received serious injuries as they were allegedly attacked with iron rods and sharp edged weapons by other party comprising Ricky Kumar son of Harbans Lal of Chak Morh and others.
“The injured women identified as Bindu Devi (30) wife of Subhash Chander, Simro Devi (60) wife of Mohinder Lal and Gita Devi (35) wife of Darshan Lal, who were all residents of Chak Morh, were shifted to Sub District Hospital, Akhnoor and later referred to GMC Jammu for treatment,” the official said.
He said a case under relevant sections was registered against the accused at police station Akhnoor but no arrests were made.
