RAJOURI, June 6: Four officials of the Health Department were suspended here today after they were found absent from duty.
Kandi Block Medical Officer (BMO) Dr Iqbal Malik conducted surprise visit at various Health centres and found the Prorri Sub-Centre was locked at about 11.20 am. The villagers and Panchayat members told the BMO that the Health Centre often remains closed.
Taking strong notice of it, the BMO placed all four employees under suspension. The suspended employees were identified as Mohd Aslam (Pharmacist), Zareena Begum and Shaine Akhter (both Female Multipurpose Health Workers), and Mohd Bashir. The suspended employees have been attached with the CHC Kandi with immediate effect.
Pertinent to mention here that the said Health Centre was purportedly found closed two days back and the BMO had already warned the staff for the negligence of duties.
According to CMO Rajouri, Dr Sunil Sharma, the Government has adopted zero tolerance against the dereliction of duties by employees. He further directed employees to perform their duties regularly in letter and spirit and ensure prompt services to the general public.
