JAMMU, Feb 7: Three persons were injured today in separate cases of electrocution in city and its outskirts.
According to a police spokesperson, a labourer received electric shock after he came in contact with a live wire while working at a construction site at Satellite colony in Bathindi. The unconscious labourer identified as Mushtaq Ahmed was immediately shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu, where he was still unfit for giving any statement.
A labourer also sustained injuries due to electric shock while working at Jewel Chowk area. The injured has been identified as Raju (30) son of Milan. He was also shifted to GMCH for treatment.
In another incident at Nagrota, a 26-year old man identified as Riaz Ahmed (26) son of Qasim Din, a resident of Nagrota received serious injuries after he came in contact with a live wire while cutting branches of a tree and fell down. He was also shifted to GMCH for treatment.
In all the cases, the concerned police has taken cognizance.
