DODA, Apr 15: Police here today arrested three drug peddlers in two different operations and recovered substantial quantities of intoxicants from them.
Cops during Naka checking at Domail Kahara apprehended one Mohd Sarwar, son of Ghulam Rasool, resident of Bani Trankhal, Tehsil Kahara and during his checking, 450 grams of Charas-like substance was recovered.
A case in FIR No. 39/2026 under Section 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Gandoh in this regard and the accused was arrested. Investigation in the case was underway.
In another operation, cops during a routine Naka checking near Ganpat Bridge under the jurisdiction of Police Station Doda, intercepted two suspicious persons Yasir Ahmed Shah, son of Abdul Majeed, resident of Sadeqabad, Doda and Abu Mubbasir, son of Mohd Ashraf, resident of Akrambad, Doda.
Upon their personal search, 6.20 grams of heroin was recovered from Yasir Ahmed Shah while 5.12 grams heroin was recovered from Abu Mubbasir and both were immediately taken into custody.
In this regard, a case in FIR No. 86/2026 under Sections 8/21/22/29 of the NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Doda and investigation started.
