JAMMU, Oct 15: Three persons died due to drowning in water bodies here today.
As per police sources, a 30-year-old man died due to drowning in river Tawi near Katal Batal area here, police sources said.
The deceased was identified as Deepak Kumar, son of Jagdish Kumar, a resident of Krishna Nagar District Jammu.
After conducting post-mortem, the body of the deceased was handed over to family members for last rites.
Meanwhile, unidentified person died due to drowning in pond near Bantalab.
The body of the deceased has been shifted to mortuary of Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Jammu for identification.
In another similar case, a man died due to drowning in nallah near Bhour Camp here.
The deceased was identified as Suresh Kumar, son of Hans Raj, a resident of Bhour Pullia District Jammu.
After conducting post-mortem, the body of the deceased was handed over to family members for last rites.
Nagrota, Chinore and Satwari Police have taken cognizance in this regard.
