UDHAMPUR, June 20: Three days training programme on ‘Anti-Human Trafficking’ commenced today at S.K Police Academy here in which 17 officers from various units/wings of J&K Police are participating.
The course has been designed to meet basic objectives like Human Trafficking-Indian Perspective, Case Studies related to human trafficking, law related to Anti-Human Trafficking, Role of Cyber Forensic in investigation of causes related to human trafficking, rehabilitation of victims related to human trafficking, role of police in prevention of human trafficking and SOPs related to missing children.
To fulfill the objectives of the course eminent guest faculties from academia and various units of J&K Police including SKPA have been invited to share their vast experiences with the training participants.
On this occasion an inaugural function was organized in which Rajinder Kumar Gupta, SSP, Dy. Director (Indoor) was chief guest.
Gupta welcomed all the participants on behalf of Director SKPA and pointed out international instruments concerning trafficking in persons including trafficking in women, children, destitute and poor. Trafficking in persons and slavery are umbrella terms used to refer to both sex trafficking and compelled labour.
The course is being coordinated by Sandeep Mahajan, Inspector and assisted by HC Balbir Singh, member faculty.
