Three booked under Arms Act

JAMMU, Aug 31: Three persons with sharp edged weapons were arrested today by Jammu Police from different areas of the district.
According to a police spokesman, on specific inputs that one person carrying sharp-edged weapon is going from Deoli towards Bishnah, a team of Police Station Bishnah led by SHO Inspector Vikram Sharma rounded up the suspect identified as Govind son of Inder, resident of Nepal (at present living at KC Morh, Bishnah) and recovered one sharp edged weapon from his possession.
In this connection, a case FIR Number 145/2022 U/S 4/25 Arms Act was registered at Police Station Bishnah and investigation started.
Similarly, a special naka was laid by a team of Police Station Miran Sahib led by SHO Inspector Zaheer Mushtaq which rounded up two suspects while they were going from RS Pura to Satwari in their vehicle bearing registration number JK12-6287. The suspects were later identified as Malkeet Singh son of Avtar Singh of Chak Ram Chand (Vijaypur) and Amrit Singh son of Kuldeep singh of Sunjwan. During search, two sharp edged weapons were recovered from their possession.
In this regard, a case FIR Number 103/22 u/s 4/25 Arms Act was registered at Police Station Miran Sahib and both the accused were arrested. Further investigation of the cases was going on.
The overall arrests and recoveries in both the cases were made under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Surinder Singh.
