H&ME releases Rs 47 lakh to GMC Baramulla for purchase of student buses

SRINAGAR, Aug 31: The Health & Medical Education (H&ME) Department today sanctioned over Rs 47 Lakh to the Government Medical College (GMC), Baramulla for the purchase of two student buses.
The sanction in this regard has been accorded by the Administrative Department, H&ME under which an amount of Rs 47 lakh and seventy thousand have been released in favor of the Principal GMC, Baramulla.
The officials said that the funds have been released out of BE 2022-23 under MH-2210, Sub Head 0857-Medical College, Baramulla & Associated Hospitals, Detailed Head-046-Purchase of vehicles along with its advance drawl in favor of the Principal, GMC, Baramulla for affecting the purchase of two student buses.
Meanwhile, in a separate development, the H&ME Department has sanctioned the constitution of a Search Committee consisting of 5 members for submission of a proposal of the eligible candidates for the constitution of the State Allied and Health Care Council in accordance with the National Commission for Allied and Healthcare Professions Act, 2021.
As per the sanction, Dr. Samia Rashid, Principal, GMC, Srinagar, has been designated as the Chairman of the Committee, Dr. Shashi Sudan, Principal, GMC, Jammu as Member, Dr. Sateem-U-Rehman, DG, Health and Family Member Welfare as Member, Dr. Yash Pal Sharma, Director, Coordination, New GMCs in JK as Member and Dr. Mushtaq Ahmad Rather, Director, Health Member Services, Kashmir also as member.
