Thieves gang busted; six arrested with stolen items

JAMMU, June 17: Canal Road Police busted thieves gang with the arrest of six persons along with stolen items.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged on May 27 this year with Police Post Canal Road by a lady namely Nidhi Shishoo, daughter of Satvinder Shishoo, a resident of Bhagwati Nagar, at present New Delhi stating that some unknown thieves entered in her house with criminal intention and stole some household appliances.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 93/2021 under Sections 457, 380, 34 and 411 IPC was registered at Police Station Nowabad and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, a special team of Police Station Nowabad led by SHO Inspector Rajesh Khajuria and assisted by Incharge Post Canal Road SI Ravinder Singh was constituted under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Swati Sharma.
The team after strenuous efforts, with the help of analysis of CCTV footages of the area and technical evidence, busted the thieves gang with the arrest of six persons.
The arrested persons were identified as Dheeraj Mehra alias Dishu, son of Yash Pal Mehra of Bhagwati Nagar District Jammu, Sahil Kumar alias Balla, son of Mohinder Pal Singh of RS Pura, at present Puran Nagar Talab Tillo, Mahinder Parshad alias Pant, son of Sateshwar Parshad of Uttrakhand, at present near Vishwakarma Mandir Bhagwati Nagar District Jammu, Khanmukh Singh alias Sippa, son of Dilbag Singh of Toph Sherkhania District Jammu, Ajay Kumar alias Nago, son of Hansraj of Gole Panj Peer District Jammu and Bikram Singh alias Biku, son of Uttam Singh of Anand Nagar Bohri.
During sustained questioning, accused confessed their involvement in the above case and on their disclosure stolen items including one AC, one AC voltage stabiliser, 2 LEDs, one handy cam, one binoculars, one drill machine set, iron rods weighing approximately 1 quintal, 2 kilograms brass, two 5 kilograms gas cylinders and eight mobile phones were recovered.
Further investigation is going on to ascertain their involvement in any other cases.
