Assault case solved; five accused arrested with weapons

JAMMU, June 17: Miran Sahib Police solved assault case with the arrest of five accused along with two sharp edged weapons.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged at Police Station by a person namely Kirpal Singh, father of victim Hardev Singh, a resident of Khour Deonian Tehsil RS Pura stating that some miscreants attacked his son with sharp edged weapons and injured him.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 69/2021 under Sections 341, 323, 147 and 148 IPC and 4/25 Arms Act was registered at Police Station Miran Sahib and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, a special team led by SHO Miran Sahib Police Station Inspector Mirza Sulta was constituted under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Shabir Khan.
The team after connecting various leads, arrested one accused identified as Amarjeet Singh, son of Mohinder Singh of Kadyal Tehsil RS Pura and on his confession Section 307 IPC was also added in the FIR.
During sustained questioning, accused revealed names of four other accused involved namely Amandeep Singh, son of Ranjeet Singh, Gurdeep Singh, son of Yashpal Singh, Kamaljeet Singh, son of Swaran Singh and Gagandeep Singh, son of Ranjeet Singh, all residents of RS Pura. All the accused were arrested and on their disclosure two sharp edged weapons were recovered.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
