KATHUA, July 4: Billawar Police arrested a thief along with 2 stolen vehicles.
As per police sources, on July 1 this year, a complaint was lodged by a man namely Bhim Kumar, son of Kapil Dev Mattu of Bihar at present Dewal Billawar regarding theft of his motorcycle bearing registration number JK02AF-2119.
Acting over the complaint, a case FIR Number 91/2022 under section 379 IPC was registered at Billawar and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, a team from Police Station Billawar led by SHO Inspector Sumeet Sharma under the supervision of SDPO Billawar Arvind Kumar and SSP Kathua RC Kotwal apprehended the thief, who was identified as Mohd Farooq, son of Mohd Rafiq of Dewal.
On his disclosure, two stolen motorcycles were recovered.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
