JAMMU, Sept 7: Police in Jammu’s Akhnoor area today claimed to have solved a theft case by arresting two individuals and recovering a stolen car and other property from their possession.
A police official said on September 1, 2025, one Pardeep Singh son of Amar Singh of Bandral Kalan, Akhnoor lodged a written complaint regarding theft from his residence.
Accordingly, he said, a case FIR number 156/2025 under sections 331(4)/305 BNS was registered at Police Station Akhnoor and investigation initiated.
During the probe, two individuals, identified as Amardeep Singh and Bhanu Partap Signh, both residents of Bandral Kalan, Tehsil Akhnoor, District Jammu, were detained for questioning.
On sustained questioning, they admitted to their involvement in the theft and on their disclosure, the stolen items, including a Maruti WagonR car, one inverter battery, and a stabilizer, were recovered from their possession, added the police official.
