JAMMU, May 18: The Civils-an institute for IAS/KAS in collaboration with Central Wakf Council New Delhi under the direction of Janab Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, Union Minister of Minority Affairs Government of India and Dr Darakhsan Andrabi (Chairperson Waqf Board J&K) conducted an entrance test for selecting students willing to prepare for civil services.
The test was conducted under the supervision of Shadan Zeb Khan, Secretary Central Wakf Council at both centres at Jammu and Srinagar, here today.
The students selected after this test will be provided free coaching, free study material and free boarding/lodging facilities from the Institute.
K Bashar, Chairman of the Institute said that this programme is first of its kind in J&K which is not providing free coaching for IAS and JKAS but will also make arrangements for free lodging and food. The Civils has already successfully completed one batch for coaching of the session 2021-2022.
“We are ushering a new era of coaching for civil services aspirants, where a poor student who can’t otherwise afford to compete at national level would be provided a level playing field and that too absolutely free,” Bashar said.
Around 500 students appeared in the written test out of which 50 aspirants would be selected for free coaching of civil services.
