Terror strikes Kishtwar again

Yet again, Kishtwar has been rattled with terror strike resulting in the grievous injury to Rashtriya Swam Sevak Sangh leader Chanderkant Sharma who later succumbed to his injuries in Jammu Hospital as also his PSO who was killed in the attack on the spot. Both the RSS leader and his PSO had gone to a hospital in the town while the killer militant reportedly was watching the movements and opened fire on them which resulted in the death of the PSO and later of the RSS leader.
The immediate fallout of the attack was imposition of the curfew in the communally sensitive town in the Jammu region. Army has been called out to maintain law and order in Kishtwar and Bhaderwah. Internet connections too have been snapped as a precautionary measure. It may be recalled that in this very town Anil Parihar the BJP state secretary and his brother were shot dead by militants days ahead of the last Panchayat elections held in November 2018 in Jammu and Kashmir. In that attack too, the militants were closely watching their movements. Igniting the communal feelings was the main motive of those killings but the people thwarted their nefarious intentions.
There are various reasons for not only revival of militancy but its systematic spurt in Kishtwar as anti-national forces are leaving no stone unturned in not allowing any lull or hiatus in the terror related violence and to expand its tentacles beyond Kashmir valley to “showcase” the entire State as disturbed. The second reason is the role of some politicians in respect of unabated avoidable severe criticism, nothing less than a hate campaign on a systematic pattern, against the RSS , the BJP and against the Prime Minister which is fuelling the anti national and anti India sentiments.
In a democratic set up , there is no bar in criticising in a refined but effective manner against one another on political, economic and allied issues with which the Government in power could pay its attention if such criticism was found to better the system in the interests of the people, if applied but rhetoric like the ones which day in and day out, these leaders unfortunately resort to, are landing at the gates of secession, insulting the national flag and the army and these are the points which Pakistan is exploiting to the hilt playing the religious card over it to make things more messy. That militant activities are being witnessed in areas like Kishtwar in Jammu division cannot be taken lightly. It has wider connotations and designs which need to be taken a serious view of.
That protests breaking out in Kishtwar town immediately after the attack is manifestation of total rejection by the peace loving people against terror and terrorist attacks as also against the authorities who are very often taken by surprise due to such attacks as they never learn from the past mistakes of breaches in the intelligence inputs and loose surveillance to evolve strategies as to how to pre-empt any further such attacks. Pakistan and anti-national and fanatic elements want communal disturbances to follow such attacks which must never be allowed to fructify as that would be the immediate hard slap on their faces. We urge the authorities to exhibit exemplary response by apprehending the killer militants and find out the conspiracy behind such attack so that the picture could emerge more clear.
