JAMMU, May 10: Senior advocate Sunil Sethi and chief Spokesperson of BJP today came out with support of Tawi Andolan which is green movement to the cause of aforestation water conservation and ecological balance.
Mr Sethi who attended the meeting of Tawi activists extended full support to the Andolan.
Chander Mohan Sharma senior BJP leader and convener of the Tawi Andolan discussed the need of legal action and judicial activism for rejuvenation of Tawi, other water bodies due to criminal slackness of administration.
He said the Minister of Forests Ch Lal Singh has taken cognizance of the situation and has passed necessary direction to concerned departments.
Mr Sethi expressed shock over 17 filth carrying nalahs are pouring in the river Tawi and concerned agencies are still in deep slumber. He admonished the slow moving administration and assured start of legal battle for implementation of all green laws and protection of water bodies particularly Suraj Putri Tawi.
