SRINAGAR, June 5: M. Y. Tarigami, CPI (M) State Secretary and MLA, called on N. N. Vohra, Governor, at Raj Bhavan, here today.
During his meeting with the Governor, Mr. Tarigami discussed various matters concerning the future growth and development of the State and issues of governance.
Prof. Navnita Chadha Behera, Honorary Director, Institute of Research on India and International Studies (IRIIS), a Delhi-based NGO, also called on Mr. Vohra.
Prof. Behera briefed the Governor about the activities of the IRIIS and the studies being presently carried out, some of which are a follow up of an earlier project on “Perception Survey of Media Impact on the Kashmiri Youth” which was undertaken by Prof. Behera’s NGO about two years ago.
