JAMMU, Oct 28: A book based on religious and spiritual poetry by late Swami Gopi Nath Pandita (Gopi) was released in an impressive function held on his second death anniversary at Durga Nagar, here today.
The book contains series of Kashmiri poems of great substance.
The function was attended by a galaxy of his followers, relatives, kiths and kins, besides devotees of Maha Ganesh Asthapan Brantal, Sirru, Baramulla.
The book was released by Jagar Nath Wattal, freedom fighter and social worker in presence of Prem Nath Raina, P L Raina, president Aap Shamboo Asthapan Committee and Dr RL Aima.
A well attended ‘Satsang’ was organized on the occasion, besides ‘bhajan-kirtan’, which smacked a feeling of extreme bliss and ecstasy among the devotees and his followers.
A ‘maha bhog’ was served among the devotees on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, chief guest Mr Wattal described Swami Gopi Nath Ji as a saint to perfection.
He said apart from being a philosopher, a statesman, Swami Gopi was having profoundly penetrative insight into human life.
Part-I of the book was released after Swami Ji’s first death anniversary during a maha yagya, organized by Maha Ganesh Asthapan Committee Brantal on Ganesh Chaturdeshi last year.
