JAMMU, Aug 28: Vigilance Organization Kashmir produced challan (charge Sheet) in a graft case against Ashiq Hussain Beigh, son of Mohammad Sultan Beigh, hailing from Rambagh Srinagar, the then Senior Assistant in JLNM Hospital Srinagar, in the Anti-Corruption Court Srinagar.
The accused was caught red-handed while demanding and accepting bribe from one Syed Altaf Hussain Bukhari (Complainant / Retired employee) for processing his GP Fund case.
In this behalf Case FIR No. 31/2017 P/S VOK Under sections 5(2) J&K P.C Act Svt. 2006 , Section 4 (A) ( Amendment) act, 2014 was registered and investigation taken up.
During the course of investigation, on the basis of evidence oral as well as documentary collected it has prima facie established that the accused has committed offences punishable under the above mentioned section of laws. Accordingly charge- sheet as envisaged u/s 173 crore was presented for Judicial determination.
In another case, Vigilance Organization Kashmir produced charge sheet before the Court of Special Judge Anti-Corruption, Baramulla in case FIR 24/2017 u/s 5(1)d r/w section 5(2) of J&K P.C. Act Svt; 2006 section 4-A J&K P.C (Amendment) Act, 2014 against Ghulam Hassan Lone, the then Naib Tehsildar Panzalla.
The brief facts of the case are that a case was registered in Srinagar on the basis of a written complaint alleging therein that in January 2016 the complainant purchased 08 Kanals of orchard land at ”Walootra Maqbool Abad, Tehsil Rohama”. Out of the said land, the complainant had sold 02 kanals of land but the person who purchased the land illegally occupied the whole chunk of land. And in order to get his grievances redressed, the complainant moved an application before DC Baramulla who in turn endorsed the same to Tehsildar Rohama for taking action into the matter. Tehsildar Rohama further endorsed the application to Naib Tehsildar Ghulam Hassan Lone with the directions to enquire the matter. However, the said Naib Tehsildar demanded bribe of Rs50,000 from the complainant for processing the case, asking for an initial amount of Rs20,000 as 1st Instalment.
After registration of Case FIR No. 24/2017 P/S VoK, a trap was laid on 07-09-2017 and the said accused Naib Tehsildar Ghulam Hassan was arrested red handed while demanding and accepting the bribe.
